I Regret Spreading Salt and Water Solution for Ebola Prevention.. The Lady Behind It Reveal Herself (Photo)

It went viral recently via bbm  broadcast that the Ministry of Health has asked everyone to bathe with salt and warm water and drink some of it so as to help avert the virus.

Here is the apology letter below;

My confession and apology

 I am coming out clean because what started has a joke has escalated into the unprecedented.

How it started

playing a prank on our friends. The first suggestion was to tell people that aloe very could cure Ebola, but we thought it would sound too ridiculous so we forgot about it.

Later that even an idea came to me (i now regret that i did it).

I decided to send a BBM  broadcast message to my friends, telling them that the Ministry of Health has asked everyone to bathe with salt and warm water and drink some of it.

Later this midnight i started getting calls and messages that i should drink salt water and bath with it.

I am using this medium to beg you all to warn and tell everyone, before they drink salt and damage their health.

  20. Infact all of una bush well well,even if it was a joke that eventually spread around the world it was never a bad joke that will kill people if they actually bath with salt water as a preventive method.if you guys actually went to school you will know that salt is a natural disinfectant against bacteria and would be cheaper for those that cannot afford dettol or septol,and had being used way back to kill bacteria and flying insects for hygienic purposes.

  31. Very sad people died for such a silly joke by a silly girl. You should have thought through it first before sending out such a stupid joke and I really blame those ignorant people even so called university graduates who fell for such nonsense. This is ignorance on rampage.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Not to sound overly educated, but u have to drink or bathe is so much salt for it to cause harm. Now i wonder how much salt was sold or purchased that caused this massive harm. Reading some posts, I do agree that salt can be used as a disinfectant against bacteria but Ebola is a Virus. Virus are not live organisms. Second, living in yankee, i can ccertainly say that this is an expensive joke that would yield no legal repercussions other than a record. I think this was a funny joke and I do think many people are ignorant nowadays. Everyone wants short-cut info. No one wants to read the news. Even CNN now makes news about Justin Bieber. Quite sad that there were fatalities but I can`t imagine how large such fatalities are considering salt is not as deadly a substance like alcohol.

  33. That's always be our problem! Insensitivity,how will this idiot feel if any of her family member got the virus,will she joked about it? Ebola is a serious case and its not night if a thousands laughter,not a script for this Dundee nollywood(trying to make money out of the situation),it's need EVERYONE attention and prayer.
    And to you(useless comedian) that started this salt and water, all the lost soul are on your head!!
