Muhammad Gidado, the corps commandant, said that the suspect was arrested in Shuwarin, Kiyawa Local Government Area, for allegedly stealing 3 cartons of Indomie noodles and 2 crates of eggs.
According to him, the corps had been trailing the suspect, who is one of the criminals that had been terrorising shop owners in Dutse and its environs for a long time.
“The suspect has been terrorising shop owners in Dutse and its environs for a long period of time,” Gidado said. “But we finally arrested him in Shuwarin after he stole 3 cartons of Indomie and 2 crates of egg.”
The commandant said that the suspect was arrested around 5.29 p.m. on Monday by intelligence officers stationed in the area.
Gidado, however, said that the suspect claimed that he committed the offence under the influence of alcohol.
The commandant said that the suspect will soon be charged to court.
