The Delta State Police Command has detained an undergraduate of Novena University, Ogume (Ami Campus), Asaba, for allegedly kidnapping a 6-year old girl.
The suspect, Samuel Omogiade, a student of Energy and Petroleum Studies department resides at 56, Okere Ugborikoko Road in Warri.
Omogiade was arrested at Enerhen junction in Warri as he attempted to check-in into a hotel.
According to reports:



Police sources further confirmed that the police were on a routine patrol of churches and vulnerable points, when they received information that a 6-year old girl, later identified as Eloho Faith, had been kidnapped from the premises of Living Faith Church, at water resources, off Effurun/Sapele road, Enerhen.
According to police, based on this information, they swung into action and the victim’s abductor was arrested. The little girl, whose hands and face were tied with cello tape, was also rescued.
The suspect was arrested just as he was trying to check into Garden Hotel at Enerhen junction in Warri.
The suspect according to the police had made useful confessional statements to the police, while the victim had reunited with her family.
