AY FIGHTS JAY JAY OKOCHA FOR MVP AWARD AT FRED AMATA'S NOVELTY FOOTBALLMATCH

It was a special moment for Fred Amata on May 15, as Celebrities and Ex-Super Eagles played a novelty match at the Campus Square Stadium to mark his 50th Birthday.

The Ex- Super Eagles won the match by 5 goals to 3 against the celebrity side who also put up a spectacular performance.  Jay Jay Okocha who was the man of the match scored 3 goals to win the highest goal scorer award against the highly competitive AY who scored 2 fantastic goals for his team. Judging from Ay's recent track record in football, one would be wondering if he is planning to quit comedy for the game. Before scoring 2 goals today, he had scored 2 goals each, in the matches between Nollywood vs Bayelsa State Football team, Comedians vs OAP's and The Coach Amodu led Pre Fred at 50 training Match. Legendary Henry Nwosu, Samson Siasia and Nollywood Director Moses Inwang also scored a goal each for their respective sides.

The big novelty football match in honour of Fred Amata at 50 between Nigerian celebrities and The Ex- Super Eagles of Nigeria is billed for this Wednesday May 15, at The Campus Square Stadium by 4pm on Lagos Island.

 

The Nigerian celebrity side that is been captained by Governor Babatunde Fashola has promised ‘the birthday boy’ Fred Amata, Coach Amadu Shuaibu and their numerous fans nothing short of victory against the likes of Kanu Nwankwo, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Henry Nwosu, Ike Shorumu, Jonathan Akpoborie, Emma Babayaro, Austin Eguavoen, Peter Rufai and a host of others.

 

Information reaching us has also confirmed that Timaya would be leading a group of other performances during the half time “soccertainment”.
