Warri can be irrevocably called the root of Nigeria standup comedy, with almost all the big names in the comedy industry having affiliation to Warri whether by birth or by association, which they of course don't hesitate to announce in their stage performances or comic acts on or off stage. Warri again? Yes, it's happening in Warri again. The fanfare that heralds the triumph of hustlers will be felt as they go back to base ganging up with their colleagues in the music and movie industry, who like I said by association will cause a standstill come 1st of October 2013 in the oil rich Niger Delta City. It'll suffice to say it's a 'go back to the root' event. One of the biggest events of the year!
