Eagles Secure Semi Final Spot After Conquering Morocco In ‘Miracle Of Capetown’

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have secured a semi-final spot at the African Nations Championship after masterminding a miraculous victory by beating Morocco 4-3 after extra-time in the quarter-final match at the Cape Town Stadium in South Africa.
Morocco took a three goal lead in the first half  courtesy of a brace from Mohsine Moutaouali and a goal from Iajour Mouhssine. However, second half goals from Ugonna Uzochukwu, Rabiu Ali and Ejike Uzoenyi’s super strike at the 90th minute took the game into extra-time.
In the second half of extra time, Abubakar Ibrahim scored what happened to be the winner for the Keshi-led Eagles in an encounter Nigerians will for long remember.
