Club World Cup: Bayern Munich crowned champions

Bayern Munich, this evening defeated Raja Casablanca 2-0, to win the Club World Cup – their fifth title of a record-breaking 2013.

The current European champions did not start brightly, but were able to open scoring as early as the seventh minute, after Dante headed in Xherdan Shaqiri’s corner.
Former Barcelona midfielder, Thiago Alcantara doubled their lead midway through the first half, with a fine strike from the edge of the box.
The second half was played out at normal pace, as Pep Guardiola’s men denied the Moroccans the chance of becoming the first African winners of the competition.
